Santa and Mrs. Claus attend tree lighting ceremonies throughout the village. Music, entertainment and festivities all over town. Christmas at Hearst Castle - Hearst Castle 6 miles north of Cambria
At Christmastime, The Assembly Room, The Refectory, and the Morning Room contain lavish decorations of hand made garlands, brilliant red poinsettias, and two 18 foot Christmas trees, fully decorated with lights and traditional ornaments. Tours are offered Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, excluding Federal holidays. Meet at he former Piedras Blancas Motel, located 1 1/1 miles north of light station at 9:45 a.m. Do not wait at the gate to the lighthouse. $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-17, and free for children 5 and under.. "S Wonderful!" - Main Street at Sheffield in Cambria
One of the Plough’s most popular original musicals is being revived and opening on Nov 25, running through the holidays to New Year's Eve. The play is a musical memoir showcasing the extraordinary songs of George and Ira Gershwin, along with entertaining anecdotes and reminiscences from the Gershwin years! Over 40 songs are featured, many beloved classics of the Great American Songbook, including "Rhapsody in Blue" , "Summertime" , "A Foggy Day" , "Lady Be Good" , "Embraceable You" , "Fascinatin' Rhythm" , the show-stopper duet from "Porgy and Bess", plus many more! The Piedras Blancas Light Station is happy to announce the first Twilight Tour will be held on December 10, 2011. Tours begin at 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, and 4:30 and last 2 hours. Reservations are required: 805-924-1807. Fee: $15 for adults, $5 for ages 6-17, no fee for age 5 and under.
The Twilight Tour includes historic enactments, guides in period attire, and sunset viewing. Meet at the former Piedras Blancas Motel 15 minutes prior to your tour time. Transportation to and from the light station will be provided.

The Pewter Plough's unique, nonstop celebration on New Year's Eve combines the final performance of "Fascinating Gershwin!" , the musical stage show showcasing the extraordinary songs of America’s favorite composing team, George and Ira Gershwin, presenting over 40 of their songbook classics, with all six original cast members ; plus an elegant supper buffet, desserts, champagne (ample, not just a toast!), party surprises ; and live cabaret music starring Deanna Delore and David Manion, Deanna being a fabulous singer with an exceptional voice, and David, the PPP’s multifaceted “piano man” (also vocals), performing great jazz, Broadway, pop and songbook classics!
