Piedras Blancas Lighthouse Tour - 9:45 am
Tours are offered Monday through Saturday from June 15th through Aug. 31st. No reservations needed for groups less than 10 people. No tours offered on federal holidays (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, etc.) $10 adults, $5 ages 6-17, no fee for ages 5 and under. Tours last about 2 hours and include a 1/2 mile of easy walking. Visitors meet at 9:45 a.m. at the former Piedras Blancas Motel located 1.5 miles north of the light station on Highway 1. Do not wait at the gate to the light station! Wheelchairs and strollers are available upon request. No pets. Tours may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Recent widower George—encouraged by his brother Leo—meets and falls in love with Jennie whose best friend is Faye. Based on Simon’s actual marriage to actress Marsha Mason, Chapter Two shows that love is certainly complicated the second time around. On Saturday and Sunday, July 18th - 19th at 6:00 am to 4:00 pm many artists and craftspeople from all over California will be presenting their wares at the Cambria Veterans' Building parking lot. Admission is free and there will be a pancake breakfast available both days from 8:00 am until 11:00 am at the adjoining American Legion club house. Walk The Forest Loop Trail - 10:00-Noon
Enjoy a two-hour FFRP Docent led walk. About 2.5 miles with very little elevation gain. Learn about the plants, animals, human history, and the trails in this special part of Cambria. Meet at 10AM at the corner of Tipton St. and Warren Rd. in the Lodge Hill area of Cambria. Bring water, shoes that protect the toes, and wear long pants to help protect from poison oak.
