Piedras Blancas Lighthouse Tour - 9:45 am
From SEPT. 1-JUNE14th tours are offered Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday. From June 15 - August 31st. tours are offered Monday through Saturday. No reservations needed for groups less than 10 people. No tours offered on federal holidays (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, etc.) $10 adults, $5 ages 6-17, no fee for ages 5 and under. Tours last about 2 hours and include a 1/2 mile of easy walking. Visitors meet at 9:45 a.m. at the former Piedras Blancas Motel located 1.5 miles north of the light station on Highway 1. Do not wait at the gate to the light station! Wheelchairs and strollers are available upon request. No pets. Tours may be cancelled due to inclement weather. The Pewter Plough Playhouse presents Robert Harling’s STEEL MAGNOLIAS, the classic comedy-drama of six Louisiana women who share their lives, joys and sorrows every week at Truvy’s Beauty Salon. Harling based the play on the lives of his mother and sister and the stories he heard as a child about their best friends. Directed by Kelli Howard, the play features Janine Elich, Sharee Hallmann, Janice Peters, Christina Fountain, Cika P. Cook and Beth Marshall. Preview Night is Friday, August 21, at 7:30 PM; Ticket Price is $17.00. The Plough’s Gala Champagne Opening is Saturday, August 22 at 7:30 PM.
